Pros

Georgia Tech is a great engineering school with lots of opportunity to do research. Some faculty are sincerely interested in helping students succeed but will not baby you. Atlanta is a great city to live with good food, sports, museums, and shows.

Cons

The pay is not great and prospective grad students should be careful who they choose to be their advisor. Parking fees are expensive and food in the dining halls are bad.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
