Pros

Easy hours coupled with a good adviser made this job very do-able. Ability to work from home also made this job very pro family.

Cons

Finding new funding can be a challenge for both the professor and the graduate student. If you plan to get a Ph.D. make that clear from the beginning.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
