Pros

Decent benefits, great perks, pension plan, and friendly environment. Nestlé is the corporate parent and this umbrella brings a large company benefits and structure to a smaller company like Gerber Life. If you find the right spot, it could be a good place to be while you strive for the work/life balance. Lower level jobs will have stability. People are in general polite toward each other on the surface. Once you get to know them, there are some real honest, nice, and sincere people.

Cons

Highly political, difficult for advancement, behind the times thinking and approach to business, slow response to market demand, and disconnect between departments. If you are smart, a doer and want to actually solve problems, this is not the place for you. If you are smart, know how to CYA and wish to do as little work as possible, this may be the perfect fit. The work is not distributed normally across the board. High school clique mentality with heavy back stabbing if you ever got on the wrong side. The culture also fosters incompetence and yes-man behavior.

Pros

I just completed my 20th year at Gerber Life and look forward to the next 20. Too many Pros to list so will summarize: supportive leadership team, opportunity for growth and career advancement, contributing to an organization that truly cares for it's customers and being there for them during difficult times. Supportive (and encouraged) work-life balance.

Cons

Pros

User friendly system. Easy to navigate.

Cons

Bait and switch hiring process. Blind trust that daily stats (if/when provided) are correct. Considering stats determine pay, bonus, employment.. this is a huge con.
