Pros

- The structure of their 401k plans, including company input, was generous. - Offerings for PTO were standard but fair. - Following 2020, WFH options in IS/IT were an added benefit. - As company was “established”, it was a “safer” option.

Cons

- It is a hostile and disrespectful culture… Actions such as cussing, yelling, or threatening were all commonplace; These frequently occurred from management and were never addressed by HR. - There is an overwhelming issue with poor task ownership… Employees did not output results as agreed to and managers were no support in escalating overdue needs, or accomplishing their own follow-through. - There was no career path available… Management preferred to act as a raise roadblock, often times citing “take on X first”, despite an exemplary track record, an already full workload, and a history of underpayment. - Especially within IS/IT, any females are treated as “unaware” / “clueless”… Blame would fly at them when documentation, emails, IM, etc. could verify their correctness in matters; The amount of hand holding grown adult men, and their egos, that was needed daily was shell-shocking.

Pros

Generally a good group of people. Work itself isn't terribly hard. Insurance is nice however, the pay is poverty wages,

Cons

Pay is called "competitive" It's competitive in the sense they pay dollars less than their competitors. You will be working solo mostly. There is zero payoff for doing a good job. Raises exist once a year set by union. These raises do not keep up with inflation. ALL PRODUCTS ARE 15-30% more expensive than other stores. Almost no one can afford to shop here that works here. If they do shop here they are paying between 50 cents to dollars more per item. The store is literally ripping off customers and workers. Work is do'able and can be completed if you bust your butt for a bit. The pay off? None. There's no raise, no bonus, they don't remember it for future raises. Working full time and getting between 370 and 500 a week is not livable. They talk about community helping which they do however its the cheapest way to pretend to care vs paying people who work there in the community more so there would be LESS people in need, No sense of purpose.
