Pros

The healthcare benefit is good

Cons

I felt so belittled by the store management and upper management in the store I was at. My department was severely understaffed and yet they wouldn’t hire anybody. We were all great workers too and never called off unless we had to and did our jobs well, however I would be written up for the smallest things and they targeted every everybody in my department which was Starbucks because the managers didn’t want to deal with Starbucks. Nobody else was trained in my department so nobody could help when you were by yourself with a line of customers and when you asked for help they would scold you. Upper management also would come in often since I was in a model store and they were rude to us as well. One time we had a health inspector come in and almost immediately failed us because a manager in the back room screamed at us to get the F out of the way. Everybody there treated each other terribly. I saw workers cry often, managers would be evil to us, HR didn’t help us and also the customers were rude as well. Some of the rudest customers I’ve ever dealt with. Don’t work here unless you want to feel dread going into work and be belittled daily.

Pros

Generally a good group of people. Work itself isn't terribly hard. Insurance is nice however, the pay is poverty wages,

Cons

Pay is called "competitive" It's competitive in the sense they pay dollars less than their competitors. You will be working solo mostly. There is zero payoff for doing a good job. Raises exist once a year set by union. These raises do not keep up with inflation. ALL PRODUCTS ARE 15-30% more expensive than other stores. Almost no one can afford to shop here that works here. If they do shop here they are paying between 50 cents to dollars more per item. The store is literally ripping off customers and workers. Work is do'able and can be completed if you bust your butt for a bit. The pay off? None. There's no raise, no bonus, they don't remember it for future raises. Working full time and getting between 370 and 500 a week is not livable. They talk about community helping which they do however its the cheapest way to pretend to care vs paying people who work there in the community more so there would be LESS people in need, No sense of purpose.
