Pros
I went into this position with high hopes, especially after the initial interview. These hopes were crushed, ultimately, but I view my time at Glo as a learning experience.
Cons
Glo Creative is an agency with so much potential. I was excited to work for them back in 2014. Management was quick to gloat about this new, innovative "New York agency without the New York price tag."
Unfortunately, they're better at talking than doing. Week after week, I realized that upper management had absolutely no idea how to run an agency. Things were picking up, and they began hiring people without any actual agency experience, then were surprised when things didn't work out in their favor.
Glo Creative is the type of agency that will have five employees quit in the matter of weeks, and never stop to think about their contribution to the dissatisfaction of their employees. Their employee retention is abominable. Even as a freelancer, I sat in my desk, and listened to how upper management spoke to freelancers and employees. This disrespect is the reason most campaigns were rushed, and clients were consistently unhappy with the work they spend thousands of dollars on.
