Pros

Occasional fun events in the summer.

Cons

I started at GHX earlier in 2012. It seemed like a fun place to be at first. Not long after I started, things started going downhill from what I thought it was. The perks started dwindling and attitudes became more negative. Good employees were being let go left and right and GHX was constantly just in "rebuilding" mode. It had made work much more stressful as they can't seem to find their ideal employees for the pennies they want to pay them. They do not want to offer competitive salaries - at least not in my department. They have the wrong people in the wrong positions. Their executives, and managers all are treated above the law. Exceptions to every rule is always made for them while everyone else is expected to follow unrealistic expectations while just trying to be honest and compliant. If you aren't on the sales team, don't expect to even get noticed for doing a good job. If you are on the sales team, stress levels are high to sell products that the company makes but doesn't even use. GHX also doesn't train anyone in the company on their job. It is a sink or swim mentality across the board because everyone is just doing their own job. They don't know anything about anyone else's job. There are a lot of double standards and nepotism that go on in the company. Anyone that tries to report it to HR typically gets reprimanded or let go because nothing is confidential inside the company. Annual performance reviews are typically bad here because instead of acknowledging one's strengths and encouraging growth, the overall consensus is to accentuate the negative areas so that no one can get a great score. It is designed that way. Most of the executives are nice to your face but will talk about you behind your back. It is a very political-type-atmosphere. There is constant busy work being created instead of working to streamline unnecessary work. Most people are very set in their ways here and don't seem to care if they're making it harder on co-workers. Lots of changes without communication or thought. Things are consistently getting worse instead of getting better. Overall, GHX is a very toxic environment and you should only work here if you don't care where your paycheck comes from or what you have to put up with to get it. Also, do not expect that paycheck to be fair.

Pros

The culture within the Service Delivery team—responsible for working directly with customers implementing the GHX solution—is highly collaborative and supportive. Team members are approachable, quick to assist when challenges arise, and open to constructive feedback. This mindset extends through senior leadership as well, creating an environment that feels inclusive and respectful. Overall, the organization stands out for fostering a genuinely positive and engaging workplace culture.

Cons

Compensation isn’t always on par with what similar companies may offer. GHX operates in a fairly unique space, so there aren’t many direct apples-to-apples comparisons, but some companies with overlapping offerings pay significantly more for similar job roles. That said, it can be tough to make a true direct comparison in the market.
