Pros

-You get paid on time -Theres opportunity to work with some big companies

Cons

-Disappointed that I was sold on a mission driven company but they dont really have one. Everything is very adhoc. Coming from a corporate background, this is not something I am used to. But the irony is that they try and help corporate companies, but themselves do not have proper company processes, a good professional working culture, timeliness etc. - Work ethic and culture is too playful and childish and at times not professional. Every work place has politics but here, the politics is mixed with childishness. People are not professional when working with one another, especially with those you may not like/agree with. Personal lives often play a crucial role in whether they accept you into their fold or not and this results in cliques being formed. So imagine, everyday you walk into work you have to deal with petty high school cliques and politics and as such, very little work gets done. - Leadership is in their own bubble and almost have no idea what is happening on the ground. They are sold on a different story of what's happening by the "middle managers". Ultimately, their vision does not get translated well and the whole operation becomes even more dysfunctional. - As I mentioned, a lot of organisational hubris, which leads leadership to have this very skewed view of what GIFT is. Its all about self inflated egos and patting yourself on your backs. Occasionally, there are meetings in the residence of the CEO, who very obviously lives in excess (has multiple houses, support staff, flies in biz class etc), but the team is being sold on the idea that you have to live frugally because of resource constraints. In my first few weeks, I was asked to read a selection of articles by the CEO, and one was on how we should not be entitled to the awe of nature because humans are invading natural biospheres. But the CEO has a bungalow cabin right smack in the middle of pristine tropical rainforest - an area prone to landslides due to human activity. - I came in with a sense of pragmatism, so I am not deeply affected by the hypocrisy personally, but it affects many in the company, who remain silent about it. If you are able to survive in a cutthroat, fake environment, then GIFT is the place for you.

Pros

You get a salary, good teammates

Cons

terrible culture CEO is senile and changes decision all the time Management that is spineless that does not make decisions based on the interests of the team, but more looking at their own personal interests very often lies to client (which is why they dont get consistent work) they force you to sell to your family members and you get chastised for not doing so
