Pros

There are no benefits of working for this company

Cons

The management are monsters, not humans, they get pleasure from firing teachers, no matter how many students it hurts. They really don't care about the teachers or the students. The pay is not competitive, it is the bare minimum. The workload is ridiculous, the requirements for lesson plans adds an extra 10 minutes of work to each 25minute class, but you only get paid for the time spent teaching. ZERO JOB SECURITY! NO CONTRACT (which is illegal)! NO WARNINGS (illegal)! IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL(illegal)! I was fired for teaching a student 6th grade English when they were prescribed 4th grade, despite his great ability and the parents disappointment in the managers decision. I was told they did this so that the student would have to book more lessons.

Pros

Flexible and bilingual management to help you communicate with parents

Cons

Not very stable, students can change teachers so you don’t get the same group of students which means money isn’t stable and will drop if you aren’t consistent.

Pros

The ability to control your own working hours, working with the students is an amazing experience. Great place to work if you don't allow any family emergencies happen while you are scheduled.- The experience working with the students and their families is always a plus.

Cons

They have a policy of Zero -Excused absences. What this means is, if you schedule classes, and you or family end up sick(including COVID), in a hospital, or any family emergency arises(sadly including family death) you will be told that although those are legitimate reasons, it makes the school "look bad". You will then be penalized and have to forgo a chunk of your pay to pay their "penalty fees". There are reports that teachers have had their schedules blocked so parents can no longer book them. Overall this place has some poor business ethics and practices, and it's only a matter of time before the parents figure it out. There are many other companies to choose from for this type of work experience...and they pay more as well. Another thing to note(which is of no fault of the company), If living outside of Japan, you are at the mercy of the current conversion rate, but that will be with any international organization.
