Pros

ATIC may give GF more money if they are foolish enough If you're at least a manager, here is the paradise. If engineers can get 6 percent of their salary as bonus, you can get at least 6 months. No scapegoat is needed even you make a big mistake. Doing a project for over 1 year and suddenly it get cancelled due to legal or nontechnical issue. Don't worry, marketing guys and legal guys. Just go on. No one will get punished. Even you transfer certain big projects to other sites and finally they kick it back and you have to start from stretch, which may cost 1 year or two. No big deal. No penalty will come. And for work, you can let all the things done by your engineers, even your weekly report ppt. If you don't know what the ppt is talking about, don't worry, take your engineers to the high level meeting. If your boss asks you, pass the ball to your engineer directly. No loss, not a bit.

Cons

Everything else: too many hierarchies, and ridiculous arrangement: 1 manager has only 1 engineer to manage, and 1 director only manages 1 or 2 managers. too many meetings as managers have nothing to cover their 8 hours but meeting. They just worry that someone may know that they actually have nothing to do. So they must pretend to be busy. And at the meetings, they never participate but just sit and look at their phones or private mails. low salary, almost no bonus, short-sighted HR: don't work here too long. Even you want to stay, quit and go to some competitors, stay there for at least 6 months and go back to GF. That's the fastest way to get promotion. Maybe the brains of HR are damaged, maybe the policy is just that foolish.

Pros

Very supportive team and management to work with from the beginning. Many training classes need to be taken in moving forward to align with the company policies and technical procedures. Good benefits and competitive salary. Have a very positive plan for long term career and educational support tuition. The interview and hiring process are long but informative and responded promptly.

Cons

There are many training classes to take so it may put more stress on a new hire if you do not have a good plan.
