Pros

Good monetary support from Arab owners; keeping this loss making and loser of a company going.

Cons

- Old boys club style senior management; plenty of butt covering for each other. - Fire fighting mindset / culture. All reactive policies. - Terrible relationship with suppliers. Receive no respect from vendors and contractors. - Many senior managers; i.e. directors and above are poor leaders and cannot motivate staff. - Senior managers do not have the courage to do the right thing for the company. They have mind set of just go with the flow and staying out of trouble. - Many dead wood senior staff are unmotivated and demoralised. No courage to resign. Just hoping and waiting for a potential retrenchment package to end their misery. - Plenty of internal cliques, in-fighting and politics that interfere with real engineering work. - Poor work life balance; expect lots of fire fighting. - Terrible work culture where people are not accountable for poor performance. - Plenty of finger pointer during mistakes. Everyone wants to cover butt first, not fix the problem. - Plenty of micro-managing; leading engineers to always wait for instructions. No passion or ownership. - Un-trustworthy / insincere, clueless HR that is management bias; aka puppets of management. - Silo work / mind your own business culture.

Pros

Very supportive team and management to work with from the beginning. Many training classes need to be taken in moving forward to align with the company policies and technical procedures. Good benefits and competitive salary. Have a very positive plan for long term career and educational support tuition. The interview and hiring process are long but informative and responded promptly.

Cons

There are many training classes to take so it may put more stress on a new hire if you do not have a good plan.
