Pros
It is very easy to get hired.
Cons
This one of the worst cultural environments I have ever experienced and it is toxic at all levels from line level employees to executive leadership to the outside sales agents. Globaltranz has no hiring strategy, low hiring standards and no interview process. It shows because most of our managers have no experience in management and most of our entry level roles came from weird recruiting tactics. Another challenge is the complete lack of direction and company vision. This is an inexperienced, unprofessional and unqualified workforce that is selfishly motivated and without direction the behaviors we see daily have become extremely scary. In short, no one has any clue what they’re doing and no one at the highest levels can correct them because they aren’t sure either. The daily behaviors that we witness here at Globaltranz are some of the most horrific things I’ve ever seen, just as a person. Regular occurrences are demeaning insults, vulgarities, threats of all kinds and public humiliation. This happens in-person, over the phone and on e-mail chains. Everyone does it, from our presidents to our sales people. Most everyone in a management role has never managed people. Our new executives live and work out of state then fight with each other at every single opportunity when they do get together. We got rid of COOs, CTOs, Business Development VPs, Development Directors, Finance Directors, Ops Directors, Marketing Managers… this year. I’m not saying any of these people were doing well, but if that many “high level” people had problems then wouldn’t you think it may be a bigger issue? Bad hiring practices? No people development? No gameplan? Sometimes the CEO dozes off in meetings, the CFO is very vindictive, the President does some very shady things and the CTO “works remotely”. The executive suite is usually empty all week (except for the secretary), but when someone does show up it is usually after 10 AM. This might be an indicator of how hands-on they are with us. The good news is they’re going to buy us another ping pong table. You’ll see that it is heavily featured in our culture videos. Pretty much the star of it. Our culture is several gaming tables, professional incompetence, no personal development, no direction and soap opera level drama on an hourly basis. Recommendation is to do whatever you can to not step foot into this environment. You will regret every moment of it and substantially set yourself back both personally and professionally. If you’re already here, I’m very sorry.
