Pros
My team was fantastic and I learned a lot from my peers, my managers, and the telco domain. My work life balance here was excellent. I recall a couple of times we did work during a weekend, but it was certainly rare and management never complained about giving comp time or anyone taking PTO. Prior to this job, I had accepted the 6 day a week tech-worker schedule so it was a pleasant surprise to work "normal" hours. world-wide permanent remote work policy. PTO is not unlimited but I was never declined for when I needed a day or two for family events. Work moved fast. More senior engineers genuinely took the time to teach me a lot of things here. A month here was like six elsewhere.
Cons
The global tech layoffs have not spared this company. I understand why they had to cut but it doesn't make it easy on those of us let go.
