Pros

A successful startup company headed by a young entrepreneur, especially in the financial sector, is an impressive thing to see. In the short time that they have been operational, the company has seen immense growth and development. It is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of the employees at this company. I was fortunate to be able to design some POP pieces for them, and the process was anything but amateur. They knew their audience, and what they wanted to achieve. With an open discussion, respecting my professional opinion and artistic direction, we were able to work together to produce some really successful marketing pieces.

Cons

With the company being so green, there may be a struggle to find marketing direction. With field-testing, and time to grow within the industry, this company will cut a path no other Canadian financial lender has before.

Pros

Location is easily accessible by transit. Co-workers were friendly and helpful. Hours of operation gives some flexibility with regards to schedules.

Cons

This is a sole proprietorship with the owner who is very young and inexperienced making all the decisions. There are no vacation days however you get paid a percentage for vacation which you need since the pay is low and inconsistent with what similar companies pay. There are no paid sick days, medical benefits or pension plan. There is no room to progress here since the business is very small and has no management positions.

We're saddened to hear that your time with us did not meet your expectations. Our benefits plan is relatively new and perhaps has room to improve, but unfortunately as a start up, we do have current limitations. It is not our intention to short-change our employees, but hope to be realistic with our entire staff about our abilities for both the short and long term. It is unfortunate that what we could offer did not meet your requirements. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
