Pros

This used to be a great place to work, and maybe it will be again. Employees are doing what they can to keep the hard-working yet friendly culture alive in the face of layoffs and budget cuts.

Cons

I can't currently recommend working here. The company recently laid off a lot of the staff, I heard it was 10%. Including some great workers, and eliminated some necessary positions. Since it wasn't announced in advance, there was no time for knowledge transfer. Some departments are struggling to keep going with reduced staff and without the knowledge that the others took with them. And that makes me think senior management doesn't know what they're doing, which makes me weary of their future decisions.

Pros

- The company has a good mission - If you get the right manager, you'll do great and you'll have fun (if you don't get laid off) - They let you use a Mac instead of a crappy Windows laptop - Hours can be flexible depending on where you work and what you do.

Cons

- Upper management has no idea what they're doing or where they're going or how they're going to get there. - The constant search for funding is troubling. They recently laid off a ton of staff that were fairly important to the continuity of business for the sake of "looking leaner", something that's hard to take seriously knowing that the new CFO had a $1200 monitor special ordered for him when he was hired. - Staff is very cliquey, feels like a high school lunch room
