Good money but no work life balance - Communuty Management Portfolio Manager Goodwin Management Employee Review

Pros

You can make a lot of money if you take on a lot of properties.

Cons

High stress, absent and/or burned out leadership. Everything us always an emergency and the pressure is put on from all sides. Leadership doesn't have your back and let's the homeowners act however they want. Since pay is commission there is always stress about losing a property and your pay can shift every month. A bad review affects the manager's score even if they specifically say the manager is great but other departments have messed up.

Pros

I really enjoy the people I work with. The Executives work hard and care about the employees. They executive team works hard to collect feedback both positive and negative from employees and then works to address the issues they can resolve. They are always looking at ways to improve the employee experience as well as the customer experience. The company offers flexibility with scheduling and I enjoy the fact that in 3 years I have missed 1 of my son's hockey games due to work, I have been able to schedule my work time around his games and my supervisors have been supportive of this.

Cons

Internal processes and systems need to be upgraded. Which they acknowledge due the yearly Town Hall. It is a demanding job that requires hard work and dedication; however, the compensation provide is reflective of your effort.

Pros

People in Goodwin are nice, friendly and kind. My supervisor is someone you can reach out to. The team is helpful and is willing to provide anything necessary for you to thrive and feel comfortable in your position.

Cons

I like working for Goodwin, not for Global Strategic though. They don't think of one as human, but as numbers making money for a low pay. They don't follow labor laws. They think that sending nice messages will help you get through the day, what about improving my paycheck?
