      Pros

      Helping citizens rather than shareholders is a really rewarding part of the job

      Cons

      Pay is pretty terrible compared to industry Senior management spend most of their time navel gazing and don't like to hear that things aren't perfect. There is no real future strategy or direction other than some vague ramblings. Though I guess this is a bit tricky when you have a new minister ever 5 minutes.

      - Generally amazing people throughout the organization. - Job security.

      Cons

      Not everyone gets to work on exciting projects. Lack of growth opportunities -- favouritism from leadership Design community has fallen completely since loosing main players. BBC folks don't understand that government services should work for everyone.
