Pros

Love the work from home. Friendly management team. Transparent with expectations. Great flexibility for emergencies and family events. Direct managers definitely care about their employees. Most of the sales staff try to work as a team. Friendly competition in sales for overall success. No in-fighting for clients. People willing to help you succeed and making sure to reach out to clients and cover during your planned time off. Simple user system with Staff on hand for tech issues. Our digital marketing manager is pretty much amazing. Senior Web Developer works pretty quickly to help create new tools for our teams to work with. Flexible vacations and not restrictive PTO. Appreciate the offered insurance, even if it's cost isn't the best for all staff.

Cons

Owner isn't the most friendly or approachable. Still working on expanding their ability for promotions/advancement in this position. Not much room for salary increases even after lengthy employment. Lots of tech issues with the system. Needs some robust rebuilding. Tech updates during business hours have a tendency to cause massive system glitches. The system itself is pretty slow a lot of the time.

Pros

I was able to pick my own hours and it was pleasant to work with students/adult learners who were motivated to learn in the study rooms of libraries. The company pays a little more for students who are far away 25+ miles.

Cons

On the company, I have gone several months at a time without having any clients, but pay came in on time. I just wish they would update their UI. As for students, some came late, cancelled with less than two hours notice, were very unmotivated, or unprepared for sessions. I also often asked for a course syllabus/description/textbook, and rarely would any parent or student provide that to me, which made preparation for the science sessions a headache. Some students also needed either longer sessions or more self-study, but their parents did not really push any of the additional work or studying. It also became hard to explain how given that the student was already floundering prior to tutoring and doesn't understand the content currently, the cannot simply catch up with one hour of tutoring a week.
