Pros

The benefits are comprehensive. Good health/dental/vision/life and legal plans. They also utilize spring health for EAP which is easy to use. They have a seller support department to help the sales team. Seller support is a godsend.

Cons

Low pay for the amount of work you’re doing. They expect you to be customer service, sales, project management, and implementation for their VMI and they boast support for these things, but the support is lacking. The VMI team is understaffed, consulting team is knowledgeable but doesn’t want to actually do the nitty gritty parts of their job, and the sourcing team is slow. While they proclaim they are diverse, the account managers seem predominantly white and heterosexual. I have had to listen to a lot of anti-trans rhetoric from coworkers and other sales people during sales meetings. There is a lot of casual bigotry and it’s exhausting. I’ve chosen to stay closeted because of this.

Pros

Great team, competitive pay, and excellent benefits. Grainger truly invests in its employees' growth—I've been able to work toward finishing my college degree while participating in incredible internal initiatives like the Mentor Program, PDP (Professional Development Program), and the Elevate Badging program. There are so many career advancement opportunities here; the only limit is what you place on yourself. Additionally, the culture is highly inclusive. Employees across different departments and regions genuinely support and help one another.

Cons

With so many programs and opportunities available, it can sometimes be a challenge to balance daily responsibilities with professional development, but it is entirely manageable with good time management.
