Pros

There are no positives to working here. Take a job with Granite if you have to have something, then move on, fast.

Cons

Granite is a company straight out of the 1950s with an 80-page rule book. Work hours are set at 8 - 5, lunch is 12 - 1, and you have to clock in. No work from home. The complex dress code is covered in detail in the handbook and includes ties for men on certain days, specific shirts, pants, and shoes, jeans are ok on Friday but they must be "tidy jeans!" You can dress down Fridays only if you contribute cash to a charity. You can't use your phone at your desk. It goes on and on and on ..... The handbook details disciplinary actions for violating every detail of your behavior, including first, second, and third offenses. If you've got to have a job, work here while you look for a company that is operating in the 21st century and run -- don't walk -- away from Granite.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
