Don’t waste your time - Senior Regional Account Manager Granite Telecommunications Employee Review

Pros

You can make a lot of money if none of the senior sales reps or team leads catch onto your deal before it’s closed.

Cons

Constant battle over leads and deals. You are micro managed. You can’t trust a lot of the managers or VPs. The new recruits call leads that are not competitive within Granite’s value proposition, so they won’t make much commission. If you go after a big deal, someone will likely make you split it, or muscle you out, maybe even your own team leader... happens all the time. Very egocentric management. You can’t stand up for yourself. There is no real HR to talk to, only a legal department that is there to protect Granite. If you go to legal for help, it is a career limiting move.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
