-Extremely low pay, even for entry level. Could almost make the same amount at star bucks. When recruiting, they mention a yearly, but that includes the quarterly bonuses which really add up to nothing. Especially w/ cost of living in Boston and bachelors degree requirement for role, it’s impossible to survive unless you don’t mind driving 40+ minutes up from the south shore or far out of the city in general. Most young, fresh out of college analysts (the majority) have to have some sort of secondary supplemental income to survive
-overworked and underpaid
-SUPER high turnover rate
-micro managed/helicopter upper management (example, clock in a minute late, terrible employee, regardless of productivity)
-office is super out of date for today’s younger generation, w/ sea of cubicles and dreary carpets and lights
-constantly putting out fires because nothing ever goes right
-semi easy to get promoted after a year but pay increase is still not great and it’s almost impossible to ask for a raise and get it, even for managers.
