Pros

You'll grow real fast as a person and either learn healthy boundaries or cry

Cons

This is not a business. It is a couple boys playing at business, but making decisions based on their feelings and their pride. If you want to win at toxic workplace bingo, this is the place. Owner who screams at employees and customers and vendors because his little feelings got hurt? Check. Owner who puts 3 jobs on one person and then minimizes what they do by saying things like "you don't actually do that much" or "you just don't prioritize well"? Check Owner who lies to get people to accept the job and then surprises them later? Check. Every job goes wrong because the person supposed to be running the shop is too busy starting interpersonal drama and pushing their work on others? Check. Someone else to always take the credit? Check. But you always take the blame? Check. Lots of promises that never materialize? You got it! The list could honestly go on and on. It sounds too insane to be real. But anyone who has been in business over 20 years, had his KPIs custom designed by 2 different people, and yet is still spending hours every week trying to "figure out KPIs" is a joke. Add in whatever the latest buzzword is (signal vs noise was the latest, but after hours droning on about it, turns out the owner and his pet manager ARE the noise). You'll think "it can't possibly be that bad" just like I did when I started and my new coworkers told me to run. I didn't listen. I was wrong.
