All locations are owned by franchisees, so there is no conflict with a franchisor who also owns and operates retail sites - a potentially huge conflict conflict of interest. There is also no middle layer of master franchisees between the franchisee and the franchisor which enables direct support from the core business. Finally, Great Clips retail locations are generally owned by local franchisees who are caring, thoughtful people who work hard to provide excellent work conditions in an industry that has lots of independent locations owned by people who do not have lots of management training, financial capabilities, or leadership skills.
