Pros

The only pro is that the tips were quick easy money.

Cons

I felt like a robot working for the franchise. You have to do haircuts 15 minutes or less, everybody, at the same time, had to greet the clients coming in the shop by saying, "Hi! Welcome to Great Clips!" You have to hit around $30 of productivity to get a small bonus added to your pay for the day and to do that, you have to get customers in and out to reach that goal, and you have to reach a retail percentage of 6% or higher for the week to also get a small bonus to your pay. I worked there for 5 years and we didn't have anti fatigue floor mats until 3 years later. For an 8 hour day you get a 30min lunch. You're better off working for yourself or find a salon that cares about you.

Since each salon is independently owned and operated, your franchisee would be the best person to address your concerns. Please contact them directly regarding any issues with employment.
