Pros

Great Clips is an awesome place to work!!! I have worked several locations and it all depends on the location, manager team etc. That being said that pretty much is every place of employment. You can make a lot of money if you can give quality customer service and cuts in allotted 15 min max time. I believe what they stand for and believe they have a system that works if implemented correctly. All depends on manager and if they have 2 main traits fair and consistent treatment to all! (cant rate with stars because depends on store some are 5 some are 1)

Cons

Depends on the location. Some are so slow you will cut 8 hair cuts in 8 hours. I have worked in some that I have preformed 30 cuts in a shift. In high volume stores in great locations you will make a $80 to over $100 a shift. Again some busy location that are busy all depends on your clientele and their culture maybe lucky if you get a $1 ..... that being said you do 30 cuts in that geographic location a shift that is $30. You MUST sell 10% of sales in product or you will be wrote up and hours cut. Again another but depends on the manager and the 2 factors fairness and constancy with every team member. That is the biggest negative with Great Clips.. They have a awesome mission and system but store level management lacks motivation to drive employees. One location the manager cant cut hair and clients are beginning to notice and they leave as they walk in. Several have complained to me about her I inform them she is the manager and they are in disbelieve ... Lack of managerial skills motivation, fairness!!! (cant rate with stars because depends on store some are 5 some are 1)

Pros

Great co-workers, good tips, generally busy, clientele overall friendly, management is super cool and will try to be as flexible as possible with your schedule.

Cons

Working evenings and weekends, but that is salon life.

Pros

Flexible schedules, 401k, health, & dental benefits, bonuses (based on salon performance, base wage with poetional to hit commission on service & product sales, fun friendly & welcoming environment for employees/customers, continuing education for growth in the industry, professional career growth with Great Clips (depending upon your franchise)

Cons

Haircutting exclusive so if you enjoy other services in the industry (chemicals, waxing, updo styling) this is not the place Franchised salons, so salons are ran differently.
