Great eastern is forever going to be a traditional company who has to bow down to their majority owner OCBC. Always bragging about strong performances throughout the agencies, but always no budget to implement anything. Seniors always say A B C is all important, but when it comes to putting the money where their mouth is, they’re nowhere to be found, and expect the staff to miraculously get it done while all they do is talk about things that never happen in their senior management meetings that are completely pointless without proper funding. Products are overpriced and offer little benefit to the customer. Imagine yourself as a customer looking to get insured, you’ll likely find quotations and compare between companies right? Don’t bother getting a quotation from Great Eastern, because it’s going to be for no reason, a much higher premium. If you’re a great eastern agent reading this, touch your heart and tell me I’m wrong. Most of you resort to selling overpriced products to customers who don’t know better. Of all my years working in corporate, I’ve never had such a bad experience with leaders who have no idea what is it that they want because they seem to change their minds everyday. But one thing remains constant: and that is having NO BUDGET to do anything productive at all.
