Pros

GG is an open and welcoming environment. The people are all friendly and there's a high degree of value that's placed on ideas and creativity. It's a small yet fast-growing company, so there's lots of opportunity to grow as an employee and make contributions outside what would be your normal role at some other workplace. There's a fantastic work/life balance there--the expectation is that people work a solid 40 hours and no more. The company values people as people, not just employees. If you're sick or have something come up, taking time off is not an issue. The same goes for vacation. There's also great health benefits. GG markets itself as being a thoughtful and ethical company. While that's hard to measure objectively, there are people there who truly care about this and push to keep it true. The company is continually trying to improve itself and examine how it can do better.

Cons

The openness and fluidity of the work is not for everyone: if you are the kind of person who wants exact specifications of what to do, it's going to be frustrating. Creativity is an expectation there. As a small but expanding company, GG can hit some growing pains. Internal organization is pretty vague (again, this could be a pro or con). Ideas can also change fast, so what's a big focus one day can sometimes be scrapped the next.

Pros

Lots of flexibility paired with as much responsibility and opportunity as you can muster. Everyone can work 9-5 in the office, with some occasional sway depending on seasonal/additional velocity or retailer needs - so there's great work/life balance for sure. Ownership group really cares about the mission of doing good in the world, and their plans for the future are thoughtful and inspiring. It's nice to work for a company that has ulterior motives rather than just profit or shareholders.

Cons

Like any small growing company/startup we struggle with bandwidth to cover all of the responsibilities we should really be covering. Growing pains are tough and we have to solve them quickly.
