      Pros

      - Wonderful coworkers - Supportive leadership. Note that Julia Taylor is retiring, which I believe is a huge loss for the GMC. But excited to see who will fill her shoes. - Impactful work for the City of Milwaukee, both the work done within the GMC and the work done by their partnerships. - Opportunities to grow. Taking initiative to grow a skill is encouraged and appreciated.

      Cons

      - Being a non-profit means you are beholden to budgets/membership dues, which can restrain upward mobility

      Pros

      Was able to work with great people who were very interested in my success. Was in charge of multiple projects which allowed me to showcase what I learned through school, and talking with my mentors.

      Cons

      Was tedious at times, but all internships are.
