Pros

This is a great job to have on your resume, because it sounds like a great title with high level responsibility, but the work is straightforward and simple. You meet a lot of people and make a lot of connections with those renting in the buildings. Good work/life balance. You only work 9am-5pm Monday through Friday, with a paid half hour lunch, and are not obligated to work anything before or after that. Pay increases in your first year if you're doing well, and then level off to annual raises. Fair pay for the level of work you're expected to do. Diverse team. No corporate politics. Management has changed since the 2017 reviews and are much better. There is no micro-managing and management is laid back as long as you do the basics.

Cons

This job isn't for you if you need a lot of direction. Maintenance takes a long time to get done since they are short staffed, so you have to deal with impatient people when things break/don't work. They don't really update things within the building based on feedback - it's family owned and they're not open minded on change. Some renters can be a pain since it is a customer service type role. The benefits are lackluster, just basic sick and PTO days. They should offer more PTO since Federal holidays count against your PTO. Basic health insurance but no dental, vision or 401k.

Pros

Good entry level job into real estate and property management. Very little micromanaging (managers are not onsite, You work in the building alone. The hours are consistent 9AM-5PM. The work is not difficult and all the information you need is on spreadsheets to refer to. Most of the building managers working there have been there for years so its a stable environment with not too much turnover. Managing a multimillion dollar property looks good on resume. Fully paid medical benefits.

Cons

Small company so not too much opportunities for growth in different departments. Not too much innovation, Maintenance is slow so you have to deal with complaining tenants. Benefits not great (no 401k company match, no vision or dental unless you pay, no flex spending accounts). No fun staff events, Very basic job.

Pros

Fantastic way to network. You get to meet really great people and get to be a part of the coworking world which could be pretty fun with the right company.

Cons

Management is terrible. The worst I've ever encountered. The "supervisors" have no clue what they're doing, the owner of the whole thing is clueless and let's them all run a mock. They treat the members like they're children. Building managers are overworked and extremely underpaid while "supervisors" are doing the bare MINIMUM and they all truly do not have your best interest at all as a company. They also treat their cleaning ladies and maintenance people like garbage it's so sad to witness. It's just a terrible company and their turnover is consistent at this point but this is due to the fact that there is absolutely no room for growth. They expect building managers to "fill up" their buildings without ever having mentioned sales and advertising in the job description and so they judge you by how "full" your location is and expect you to run ads all day. They offer no incentives either. Ever. It's ridiculous.
