Engineering team has a lot of experience and is always willing to help out and provide you with training. The small company aspect allows you to try many different types of work. Remote/benefits structure allow for a fairly flexible schedule with modified hours during the summer.
Cons
Starting as an intern is very unstructured and lacks direction. There was promise of career development for the design/leadership path, but I have rarely had discussions on progress of this. I needed to seek a lot of my own training out or teach myself things. The small company aspect causes you to have some very busy weeks and some weeks with not much at all.
