Pros

Cons

No structure Unrealistic expectations Disrespectful to employees They are well versed in selling you the vision they have and you’ll buy in for as long as the honey moon phase lasts, but once you are caught up between what one superior tells you and the conflicting opinion of another, the blame always comes down to the employee. A “Chain of command,” is non existent. The chief team preaches accountability but never take it themselves, and when seeking for assistance your bosses are never available. If you need their opinion or guidance, you’ll have to catch them on a good day. Otherwise the response you’ll get is “I pay you to figure this out,” or “why are you asking me?” They tried with culture, but reality in this company is that once you stick up for yourself you are blackballed. It’s a work environment where keeping your head down and taking a verbal lashing with a “yes man” mentality will earn you another days keep.

Pros

Greenworks has an amazing mentality that always is striving to be better. Growth is one of the center focal points, but the greenworks mindset is geared towards healthy growth. This company is an overall positive, encouraging, innovative, and just plain exciting to work for in terms of what the future potentially has in store.

Cons

Wishful thinking, but a general, across the board pay increase simply due to the elevated cost of living. I know there are ways to make more money via "upgrades". but those fluctuate. Like i said... wishful thinking.

Pros

I like that we can make good changes without necessarily having to go through a lot of red tape. Some things still need that, but for a good reason. I like that we have 80+ inspectors to answer questions when they come up. I really like that my bosses are inspectors, so it doesn't just feel like an us vs them when things are changing. I especially like that I can go to work without having to answer phones, do marketing, accounting, and all the other business stuff. I can focus on inspections primarily.

Cons

Put more focus on trainees after they are set free. And since the trainers are not in the field, and cannot get upgrades, then maybe adjust the pay accordingly to what upgrades would have typically allowed for. We miss that when training. In general, the MLs and trainers should really have more time to wrangle the troops, deal with issues, solve problems, etc. The amount of time spent off the clock, as it were, is not sustainable in the long term and not conducive to happy leaders. I don't have the answer, as it involves money, but I have been told that by some crew and agree with it. Worth looking into.
