They are well versed in selling you the vision they have and you’ll buy in for as long as the honey moon phase lasts, but once you are caught up between what one superior tells you and the conflicting opinion of another, the blame always comes down to the employee. A “Chain of command,” is non existent.
The chief team preaches accountability but never take it themselves, and when seeking for assistance your bosses are never available. If you need their opinion or guidance, you’ll have to catch them on a good day. Otherwise the response you’ll get is “I pay you to figure this out,” or “why are you asking me?”
They tried with culture, but reality in this company is that once you stick up for yourself you are blackballed. It’s a work environment where keeping your head down and taking a verbal lashing with a “yes man” mentality will earn you another days keep.
