Sometimes you get a supportive area manager, only sometimes though 33% discount 50% food whilst on a break, if you get one There are no other pros, none
Cons
Awful, constantly cutting wage budgets but tell you “make sure you have enough team on” blah blah blah! Impossible because of course you can run with just one chef and no potwash pretty much all day every day when your site takes 8k on food n still keep your kitchen to a 5* standard and the team love being yelled at by customers because we haven’t enough staff on but hey budget is king right. It gets better though, they regularly send customers vouchers for 20/30/40% off food vouchers but don’t reflect this in the wage budget because you know you’re already doing the work of 3 people why not do the work of 5!! They couldn’t care less that you’re working excessive hours and doing admin, ordering etc on your days off cause you are a glorified bar staff all the time and your team are being pushed to breaking point and that you’re almost medically unstable and exhausted from the pressure! Don’t look at progression, there’s no point unless your face fits you just get nothing despite constant promises! Never enough glasses or consumables, stationary etc as the budget is awful and god help you if something they deem as not business critical needs replacing for example your CCTV! Don’t come to GK if you value your health or your sanity, you’ll regret it!!
