Since I started in this company 11 most senior developers & architects have left, any new senior hire don't last longer than 2 years. Mostly senior architects have left this company in the past 1 year and others are planning to leave soon. The management lacks management skills, you are told to not to follow best practices, probably because they made unrealistic deadlines with the customers and they just want the job done. The management puts business first and quality and procedure way down the line. "We don't have budget" is thrown at your face very frequently. TDD is a fancy word that just exist when you know what hits the fan and then finger pointing starts (from the management). They will tell you to copy stuff from other projects, "We have done this before in xyz, look at that" which is a complete mess at this stage and there are 5, 6 different projects which look like the same. Most of the new projects are copy/paste rip off from other older projects. They hardly do sprint plannings, there used to be regular bi-monthly sprint plannings with technical leads. Daily stand ups are called being agile. Sometimes very slow at moving towards new techs. The way they force people to leave is by not increasing their wages even if they totally deserve it. And once you're hired your'e told to do MS certifications straight away, company benefits from this big time and in return the employee does not get same . They don't increase your wages until you do certifications and you have to prepare for the certifications in your own time. Sometimes however you're given company time but it's not guaranteed/fixed. Company hires people from other countries and bring them over on work permit. There are some really great resources and on the other hand people who have no idea of the best practices. They like people who can be pushed around from one thing to another.
