Employee safety less important than customer dogs - Pest Control Technician Greenix Pest Control Employee Review

Pros

Very little overtime, weekends off

Cons

STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED TO DEFEND YOURSELF FROM DOG ATTACKS. Employee safety is an afterthought. Boss will come check your work during a thunderstorm and write you up for not using the 20 ft metal pole to get every spiderweb. Door-to-door sales job disguised as pesticide application. Expected to upsell every customer and add extra stops to your route every day, but will be reprimanded if you work past 4 while also being told that you MUST finish all the stops on your route without help. Manager is a liar who regularly promises things that turn out not to be true, or lies to manipulate and defuse a situation

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We’re glad you appreciated the work-life balance aspects of the role, such as limited overtime and weekends off. We take employee safety very seriously and are sorry to hear about your concerns. We have clear safety protocols in place, including how to handle aggressive pets(dogs), and we regularly review these to ensure all technicians feel supported in the field. We also recognize that communication and expectations around routes and sales can always be improved. Your feedback has been shared with leadership so we can continue to refine how we support our technicians in balancing service quality, safety, and customer care. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

There are no pros for the company.

Cons

They lie about everything. They explicitly stated there are no quotas, then turn around 3 weeks into the show say there are quotas. They promise $1,000 a week to show up and then say it is only if you meet those figures. They had the salesman going into explicitly No Solicitation zones without any permits, giving us the full legal liability. They promised us 2 bedrooms for every 4 people, then crammed people like cattle into 1 bedroom apartments for every 4 people.
