Pros

The people are amazing; kind, intelligent, responsible, driven. Greenstep really is a place for growth, you WILL learn constantly, and you usually get to choose the direction you grow towards. Lots of training and some fun events. The clients are interesting and versatile.

Cons

If you can’t keep up with the pace, if you can’t handle the pressure, forget about it. The pay is terrible compared to the stress. One must learn to say no or they will squeeze you dry.

Pros

Greenstep offers a workplace with many competent and friendly colleagues, especially in Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands, and provides the opportunity to work with engaging and enjoyable clients across a variety of projects.

Cons

There are significant internal challenges. The leadership is generally weak, particularly at higher levels where managers based in Finland make decisions that affect employees in other countries without sufficient understanding of local needs. The organization is described as flat, but in reality, this often means a lack of actual leadership, structure, and clear direction. Team leads can be strong, but they are often overburdened due to the absence of support from the broader leadership structure. The HR function is poor, lacking clear processes and routines, and there is no effective anonymous channel specifically for employees to report issues or misconduct. There is also a noticeable “hire and fire” or disposable approach to employees. Many experts who are good at what they are doing are quitting. Salary development is weak, and bonuses are limited. Cross-country collaboration, particularly with parts of Finland, can be challenging, with low openness to input from other markets. Combined with unstable systems, heavy workloads, and unclear structures, this makes it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance, with many employees experiencing high stress and risk of burnout.
