I unfortunately had the opportunity to work at this triggering workplace with toxic management, and the experience was deeply disappointing. The work environment was tense, and there was a pervasive lack of transparency. The management's communication style was often condescending and dismissive, leaving employees feeling undervalued and demoralized. Feedback and concerns were routinely brushed aside, making it difficult to address any issues or suggest improvements. The constant power struggles and favoritism created a sense of unfairness that overshadowed the actual work we were supposed to be doing. Moreover, the lack of support for professional growth and development was evident. Opportunities for advancement were reserved for a select few, typically those who were in the management's good graces. This not only hindered motivation but also bred a culture of competition and insecurity among colleagues. In terms of work-life balance, it was nearly non-existent. Long hours were expected without acknowledgment or compensation, leading to burnout and stress among the team. The lack of boundaries between work and personal life further exacerbated the negative impact on our well-being, they advertise as being flexible with 2 days work from home but of course there is a catch here, you need to perform perfectly everyday, and each manager has their own definition of good performance so it is very inconsistent, they constantly remind you that getting to work from home is such a privilege to have and you shouldn't even need to work from home. All in all, my time here was a disheartening experience. The management was very insincere and two faced I should more so say, I called in sick one day and the manager on the hotline was very rude to me and I felt belittled as a person, the next day that same manager came up to me asking if I was okay and displayed a completely opposite attitude towards me, this type of behaviour was very triggering for me, especially growing up with a parent who has BPD. Management perpetuated a hostile environment that hindered both personal and professional growth. I strongly advise individuals to carefully consider their options before joining such a company. It's important to prioritize your mental health, physical health and well-being above all else.
