Pros
I am a leasing professional at the largest asset that Greystar owns. Even though we have a large team and a very busy office, I feel as though my managers (both onsite and corporate) genuinely care about my growth and success within the company. I have been with Greystar for over 2 years, but only at this property for 3 months. After those 3 months, my hard work was recognized with a promotion (to senior leasing professional) and a raise. Greystar is very good about recognizing when someone is committed to the company and rewards their hard work!
Cons
I came to this property from a Greystar property in a different state and my experience has been a complete 180 from my experience there. An employee's experience with the company can be ruined if their onsite managers are not supportive and encouraging. An onsite manager is not intended to sit behind a closed door and never interact with residents. My previous manager had that mentality and left the leasing professionals to deal with every situation (good and bad) without much guidance. My current manager is very good about stepping in when needed and helping to guide us through difficult situations with residents, customers, and vendors. I almost let a bad management experience at a property push me out of the industry, but I am glad that I stuck with Greystar through my move out of state!
