Co-workers are amazing -- fun worker environment, from baggers to the managers. Build relationships with customers, 99% are regulars. Ability to branch out, help other departments, despite official title -- depending on the day. Good summer, or at least short-term, job. Gain 40hrs/week quickly with o of work. Quirks and fun! We're all fun and crazy here!
Cons
Owners are good at numbers, but can be bad with people. Schedules are rarely done in a timely fashion. Requests for days are often unfulfilled. Calling in sick, or being sent home sick, more than one day can result in severely cut hours. No benefits. No representation. Mediocre pay -- No union, no pay raise requirements. Little growth capacity. 99% of customers are regulars, remember, so you'll have to deal with the ones you can't stand a lot.
