Cheap Prices, Simple, straight forward selection, and a tight-knit team. Generally flexible around people's schedules, even though more team members could increase flexibility.
Cons
Some of the worst, most processed food on earth. Everything from the produce, the non-perishables, frozen food, and commodities was expired, damaged, or of the worst processed, no-name brands you shouldn't trust. I worked a part time job as a closer/bagger, and the lack of adequate cleaning gear, safety precautions, and general hygiene made me never want to shop there. The only "reliable" item was beer or wine. Additionally, there was pressure on doing the most amount of work with the fewest amount of employees, which is never, ever a good business model. No benefits at all, no healthcare, discounts, or paid sick days.
