Pros

Great company ethos (Sustainable environment and communities) Work with the most at need in society Work in the highest IMD wards Work flexibility Excellent colleagues - those you work closest with often become good friends Autonomy of work Trusted to deliver If you are someone who likes to work outdoors or are from a training provider background, the organisation may suite you.

Cons

Directors are not staff/person centric and often pile work on until you are strong enough to say no, or break. Staff often feel undervalued. Staff "favourites" protected from complaints which feeds a bullying culture in certain departments. Poor communication from senior management and between teams. Throughput of staff is very high Low wages comparably - will always pay minimum offer and don't do pay reviews 1% pension contribution Parents forced to pay childcare voucher scheme costs 40p/mile travel allowance Very little career progression if any (Other than moving from an assistant to a leader on programmes such as Prince's Trust - this is where progression stops)
