Pros
Working at Grow Therapy has been a refreshing change from the hustle culture I’ve experienced at other startups. What Stands Out: Mental Health Mornings/Afternoons: At first, I thought this would be one of those perks that looks nice on paper but nobody really uses. I was wrong. My manager actually takes advantage of it, which makes it feel normal and guilt-free to do the same. This summer I started treating Fridays as a lighter day, and I noticed I was actually more productive overall. Flexibility in how we work: I’m a hybrid employee, but some weeks I work fully remote. There’s no culture of clocking in and out or being micromanaged like I’ve seen at past companies. That trust makes a huge difference. What I appreciate most is that Grow has found the right balance between innovation and mental health. We work hard, but leadership understands this is a marathon, not a sprint. Leaders are supportive, transparent, and down-to-earth. When the company started leaning more into AI, I was honestly nervous. But I’ve been reassured by our philosophy of keeping a human in the loop. That balance of encouraging us to innovate while staying true to our values is what makes me excited to be here.
Cons
There are a lot of moving parts that come with working in a startup, and I think we can improve how we communicate changes happening within the organization.
