Pros

Nice building, free coffee and good work at home options

Cons

Management does everything to prevent raises. Favoritism runs rampant and is the only way to get promoted; if you don't kiss up you won't get anywhere. Human resources does a horrible job and doesn't have info about new hires when they arrive on the first day. If you file a complaint with HR they tell you to go to your manager, even if that's who your complaint is against. The company makes sure the public perception is that Guardian is generous by giving to charities but if it's not advertised they won't give.

Pros

Flexibility, excellent work life balance, casual environment, easy to use PTO. Benefits: health, dental, STD/ACC, vision, 401k are excellent

Cons

Pay is much below the standard for the position, raises and bonuses are minimal and hardly reflect the effort that is required to maintain positive metrics/meet goals. Case managers' responsibility is at a max and we often feel overwhelmed by the workload and expectations of management. Case managers are often responsible for tasks outside of the important things that have an effect of the claim
