Pros

Generally nice people to work with, paid time off, flexibility about leaving early / coming in late if you have personal appointments. HR is very nice here, and cares a lot about throwing genuinely enjoyable events for all. The kids party on Halloween and the Christmas party were some of my personal favorites!

Cons

As a former Research Analyst, the main con for me was the change in commission structure. It is very difficult to make commission because you have to hit a certain threshold in order to get paid for any of your efforts. Under the old commission plan, you were paid per call booked, which is much more fair. The new commission plan was clearly a cost cutting measure, and it made very many people unhappy. Many research analysts (including myself) tried to voice their concerns but management was unwilling to change this flawed new commission plan. Also, something needs to be done about workplace harassment. The amount of disrespectful gossip I heard while working here was asinine...coming from 25+ year old managers! I think a discussion about professionalism is needed. Obviously not everyone is going to get along with each other, but people should have the respect to not voice such harsh opinions in public areas of the office. I think there should be some sort of anonymous online reporting system for people who overhear/see harassment but may be nervous to report for fear of being reprimanded.

Pros

the only pros are the salary and two hybrid days

Cons

Do not take a job with Guidepoint, even if you were a strong student in college and consider yourself a hard worker. The project managers are fine, but the team leads are awful. You won’t learn any tangible skills; the work largely consists of reaching out to people on LinkedIn for hours on end. On top of that, they will let people go very easily. Stay away from this company.
