Pros

What an incredible company to work for! From the trenches of The G-650 retrofit to Flight Test instrumentation through nothing but my own ability!

Cons

Gulfstream does have a lot of families of employees… so I’ve HEARD that there are at times promotions or raises that many call unfair or unreasonable. What I will say having been a part of one of those families: I had to work much harder to receive the promotions I got. There was never a shady deal that I saw. If you want it they won’t take you out of the running. But you can earn it.

Pros

-Work in an air conditioned hangar! -All the tools and support needed to do the job -Excellent training available -Good safety culture -Fairly easy work -Lots of opportunities to grow

Cons

Big corporate politics at times. Some people just love to point fingers. Rules that are very excessive due to incompetence, instead of just firing morons.

Pros

Gulfstream is a good company, I would come back to it. Can be a fantastic work life balance. PTO and benefits are decent. Can be an excellent career builder if you have connections and play your cards right. They can pay for your masters. Self-starters are rewarded and recognized,

Cons

-Ultimately, your experience heavily depends on your specific group—and some can be incredibly profane and toxic. If you are trying to implement an improvement but it doesn't agree with leadership, you can be harassed. -You might find yourself fourth in a long line for a position that only opens once a year; many jobs already have a person picked before they are ever posted. This isn't new information.
