Pros
As one of Gurnet’s first full time project managers I have been with them for close to 10 years. It’s not your father’s consulting firm. They want you to be happy, have regular touch points all while providing benefits and incentives. The owner is actively involved and cares about his people. He does a fantastic job of matching employee skills and client needs. He wants employees to utilize their experience and best practices at the client but to also share them with Gurnet to make the company better. Those who work best in the Gurnet environment are seasoned professionals who want some independence while being part of an organization that cares about your wellbeing and values your feedback. Gurnet bases its process on what they call the 4R’s: Reputation, Referrals, Relationships, Results. It’s a long-term approach to building the business. Consider Gurnet if you have the personality that works with a variety of people and you have a successful history of leading project teams.
Cons
Company growth has led to inconsistencies over the years. But management has done well in identifying them and making corrections
