Pros

HAP Innovations provides me with the ability to positively impact so many people. It is very motivating to hear the "if only my family member had your product" stories. As a member of a startup, my work matters. What I do each and every day has an impact on our company, business, product and customers. We are a team!

Cons

Startup life is not for everyone, work is very fast paced, expectations are high. Come here only if you are ready for a challenge.

Pros

- The work is rewarding, because the team is aware of the positive impact our product will have on people's lives and health. - A startup like ours is a great place for recent engineering graduates that are up to the challenge to gain far more experience in a vast array of areas than a large company would offer in the first few years of employment. If you join the team, expect to be held responsible for real things that matter and need to be done yesterday on day one! - We are a team! Engineering works together and supports each other and we learn from each other. Communication within our department is excellent. - The company is well positioned to cause a huge splash in the health care industry.

Cons

- As we watch what was once a startup grow, the larger it gets, the more often someone says the word "bureaucracy." - Hard work can be stressful.

Pros

- Great technology , addresses a real market need - Although a startup, the company has solid investment partners and the product is already gaining significant interest ahead of launch - A strong, collaborative team that works very well together

Cons

Overall, a generally oppressive working environment. Despite the great technology and a highly talented team, there are too many negatives at the corporate level to make this an enjoyable place to work. - No feeling of ownership amongst employees - Communication between management and employees is virtually non-existent - Software and Hardware schedules are a joke - impossible to meet. - Little room for innovation, management are too involved in the design process. - Too much secrecy and exclusion, information is heavily partitioned - Low employee morale, management will intimidate rather than encourage - Employees feel as though they don't have a voice in the company's growth/direction. Issues and suggestions go unresolved or are ignored - Far too much politics for such a small company - Company resources are not being sensibly managed
