Pros
All of the negative reviews on here are painful to read because it doesn't reflect the company I know and love. A quote from our former general manager Alastair Jarvis sums my feelings quite nicely, "I often think that I'm one of the luckiest guys in the world, to be able to get to do what I do, and live where I live". - I get to work on video games, a lifelong passion - I get to stay in Nova Scotia - My morning commute is five minutes with no traffic - The city is less than an hour drive away - Nature at my fingertips with beaches and hiking trails - Pay well above the regional average - Perks like our company gym and private daycare
Cons
Like every company we have good projects and we have bad ones. When a project goes south it often falls on the engineers to take the brunt of the burden by working overtime. We try to make up for it with a very generous compensation rate for overtime work but everyone agrees it would be better to have no overtime at all.
