Pros

- Flexible (work hours, work sharing amongst different departments), relaxed environment - Friendly - Expertise of senior staff; very knowledgeable and well connected group within/outside company - Good at and willing to train EITs on construction management/design

Cons

- Senior staff is extremely overworked, making it difficult for them to have time to delegate work to EITs. This affects EIT utilization (~95%) and overall performance during annual review (sometimes EITs go weeks without work even though the team allegedly has a lot of work). EITs are then left to do secretarial work. - Clients are cities/gov entities throughout the Houston/Gulf Coast area, so budgets are extremely tight, and the team is asked to do "favors". This puts EITs in an awkward position at times because of the "family" style work environment. - Lack of training for CAD/BIM

Role involved a lot of remote support whereas I prefer hands on, but overall excellent company.
