Pros
- Flexible work schedule. - Decent product offerings with little external competition.
Cons
- Horrendous internal tech stack to run operations. Barely any integrations amongst systems means everyone reverts to spreadsheets for their day-to-day operations. Management then justifies why spreadsheets are 'the way to go in a business like this'. - Every team operates in micro-silos, leading to delays after delays in product release. More spreadsheets to manage that! - Accountability is non-existent within the business. Have fun spending weeks trying to resolve auditing and accounting errors where no one did anything wrong. - Pace of work is slower than a glacier. Your project/deals WILL get bogged down by some internal red-tape which will take weeks, if not months to resolve. - Career growth is non-existent in this place. Only way forward is to sit around for a decade until someone retires or moves on to a cushy pre-retirement role. - Regional management like to run their own show, devoid of any alignment with the global strategy just to make big bets without any consistency in execution amongst the teams.
